Notes
-
The burger meat mixture was rather simple, but effective. It was two pounds of 80/20 ground chuck beef, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.
-
Putting together the patties is easiest to do by hand. It's a little gross, but provides good results. As always, wash your hands well!
-
The fries are somewhat simple but also tedious. I peeled russet potatoes, chopped them into fry-sized pieces, and then tossed them into a bowl of cold water for an hour. This drew out the starch, making for a crispier fry.
-
I accidentally forgot to spray the air fryer with non-stick spray, so when I went to take them out, a handful stuck to the bottom.
-
When the batches of fries were done, as well as when the burgers were, I placed them in a low oven to keep them warm. During that time, I prepared the toppings and toasted the hamburger buns.
-
All in all, not a super difficult preparation, but enjoyable nonetheless.
